For queer people carrying shame that was never yours.

Coming out doesn’t switch off the years of messages you picked up before you had the words. I’m Dhiren, a queer, British Indian therapist offering LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, online in the UK and abroad, or in person in London and Essex.

Gay, lesbian, bi, trans, non binary, questioning, or still finding the words. You’re welcome here.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Out, maybe for years, but still editing yourself in rooms that should feel safe.

Confident on the outside, and convinced you’re too much, or not enough.

Finding sex, dating or intimacy loaded in ways you can’t explain.

Carrying something about your body, your gender or how you show up that you’ve never said out loud.

Queer and from a culture or faith where that still isn’t easy.

Still working out who you are, and tired of everyone else having an opinion on it.

Why it helps to see a queer therapist

You won’t need to explain the apps, the scene, chosen family or what coming out has cost you. I know the landscape. Your version of it is what we’ll work on.

Bring anything: sex, bodies, gender, faith, family, the stuff you’ve never said to anyone. I won’t be shocked by it and I won’t judge it.

What we might work on

  • Internalised shame

  • Homophobia, biphobia and transphobia

  • Coming out, at any age

  • Sex and intimacy

  • Body image

  • Relationships and attachment

  • Family and chosen family
  • Being queer and POC

We talk about what’s brought you here, what you’d like to change, and how we’ll work together.

3

Weekly sessions

Same day and time each week, 50 minutes, online or in person. We check in regularly on how it’s going.

£80

Questions about LGBTQ+ therapy

I’m not out to everyone. Is that ok?

Yes. What we talk about stays between us, and there’s no right timeline for who knows what. Plenty of people start therapy before they’ve told anyone.

Do I need to have my identity worked out?

No. We don’t need a label to start, and you don’t need one to finish.

Can I talk about sex?

Yes. Sex, apps, kink, chems, intimacy, whatever’s going on.

Do you only work with queer people?

No. It’s what I specialise in, and anyone is welcome.

Book a free call

A line or two is plenty. I reply within 48 hours to find a time that suits you, by phone or video.
