My name is Dhiren Doshi-Smith MBACP, and I’m a CACPB-trained and BACP-registered therapeutic counsellor trained in Person-centred Therapy.
My therapy journey was as a client, trying to navigate panic attacks, anxiety and depression caused by having to be inauthentic to myself and late-diagnosed neurodiversity.
Making a career change later in life has given me a unique perspective and empathy for individuals going through significant life transitions. I understand the challenges of starting a new career and the courage it takes to pursue your dreams.
As a therapist, I specialise in helping individuals navigate challenging life situations and find a sense of direction and purpose. I work from a person-centred approach, tailoring my therapy style to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals.
I am passionate about helping others to build resilience and develop skills to manage stress, anxiety, and depression. I use various evidence-based techniques, to help my clients overcome obstacles and achieve their desired outcomes.
In addition to my clinical work, I am committed to ongoing professional development and education. I work with several charities and regularly attend workshops and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in counselling.
