DHIREN

SPEAKER & WRITER  |  COUNSELLOR  |  MODEL  |  ACTIVIST & VOLUNQUEER

Hey, I’m Dhiren Doshi-Smith, a queer, British-Indian, neurodivergent therapist, model, writer, and speaker. This site is a space where all my identities and passions meet.

I work at the intersections of mental health, identity, culture, and expression, whether I’m in a therapy room, behind a camera lens, or speaking on stage.

My work is rooted in lived experience, shaped by curiosity, and driven by a belief in showing up as our full selves.  Welcome to a space that holds complexity, celebrates difference, and makes room for the beautifully unfiltered.

Speaker & Writer

I speak and write from the messy, powerful intersections of identity, where queerness, culture, neurodivergence, and mental health all meet.

Whether I’m on stage, leading a workshop, or writing an article, I aim to bring voice to the stories that often go unheard, especially within QTIPOC communities.

I talk about the things we’re told to keep quiet: the impact of racism and heteronormativity on our mental health, what it means to live authentically in systems that ask us to shrink, and how inclusion needs to go far beyond surface-level gestures.

My work sits at the edge of discomfort and growth. I don't believe in performative allyship or glossy DEI tick boxes, I believe in honest conversations that open the door to actual change.

If you’re looking for someone who’ll speak with heart, challenge gently but firmly, and bring lived experience into the spotlight, you’ve come to the right place.

Therapeutic Counsellor

I’m a person-centred therapeutic counsellor, working with adults who want to explore who they are beneath the layers they’ve had to wear to survive.

I specialise in working with queer, neurodivergent, and global majority clients, but the heart of my work is about creating space for anyone who’s ready to be seen, heard, and understood without judgement. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, it’s about understanding you, deeply and compassionately, and helping you reconnect with parts of yourself you may have been forced to hide.

As someone who lives at the intersections of queerness, ADHD, and British-Indian identity, I know what it means to hold complexity. I bring that understanding into the therapy room, alongside humour, warmth, and a steady presence.

If you're looking for a therapist who won’t ask you to shrink, censor, or explain your existence, I’m here.

Model

Modelling, for me, is more than aesthetics; it’s embodiment. It’s a way for a queer, neurodivergent, British-Indian man to reclaim space in an industry that rarely reflects the full spectrum of who we are.

I’m drawn to work that challenges norms, celebrates difference, and tells stories through the body. Whether it's editorial, campaign, or creative concept shoots, I bring presence, intention, and a strong sense of identity to every project.

As someone who grew up not seeing myself reflected in media, I know how powerful representation can be and how necessary it still is. Modelling is one of the ways I choose to be visible, on my terms.

If you're looking for a model who brings more than just a look—who brings depth, narrative, and lived experience, I'd love to hear from you.

Activist & Volunqueer

Activism and volunteering aren’t side projects for me; they’re integral parts of who I am. Rooted in my lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent British-Indian man, I’m committed to challenging systems of oppression and creating spaces where marginalised voices can be heard and valued.

Whether I’m supporting LGBTQ+ mental health initiatives, amplifying QTIPOC experiences, or advocating for neurodivergent inclusion, I show up with intention and authenticity. I believe real change happens not through performative gestures, but through sustained action, community connection, and holding uncomfortable truths.

Volunteering grounds me; it reminds me that change is collective and that sometimes showing up, listening, and supporting others is the most radical act of all.

If you want to collaborate or learn more about the causes I’m passionate about, let’s connect.
